DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\nA Symphony of Soulful Music: Black and White Night Jazz and Java\n\n\nThe weekend kicks off on Friday\, November 3rd\, with the doors opening at 6pm for the Black and White Night Jazz and Java. Seats are This night promises an enticing fusion of soulful jazz music and a vibrant downtown scene. Paradise Coffee Espresso and the sweet taste of dessert will be available by donation. Admission is by donation\, with suggested donations ranging from $5 to $500. This is a night to immerse yourself in Hilo’s vibrant jazz scene and enjoy the company of fellow music enthusiasts. Seats are first come\, first serve. Evening is expected to end around 9pm \n\n\nFirst Saturday\n\n\nThe event continues into Saturday\, November 4th\, from 10am to 4pm with the First Saturday. This day is dedicated to educating ourselves about the rich stories of our kūpuna (elders) who were directly impacted by tsunamis and natural hazards. It’s a day to bring your ‘ohana (family) along and learn about the resilience of our ancestors. The feature film\, ‘Tsunami: Killer Wave’\, will be shown at 12:00 PM.  Entry is free for Kama’āina (locals) with a valid ID. \n\n\n\nWorld Tsunami Awareness Day: Honoring the Past\, Preparing for the Future\n\n\nThe event culminates on Sunday\, November 5th\, with the World Tsunami Awareness Day. From 11am pm\, visitors can join for the story of ‘Inamura no hi’ or ‘The Fire of Rice Sheaves’. This day also provides an opportunity to preview new items donated to the museum\, free for PTM members. The PlayBook Reading will start at 11:00 AM\, offering an immersive experience into the historical and cultural aspects of tsunamis. \n\n\nJoin the Community\n\n\nBrought to you by Pacific Tsunami Museum\, the International Tsunami Weekend is a unique event that combines education\, remembrance\, and community spirit. It’s an opportunity to learn about the past\, understand the present\, and prepare for the future. The event takes place at 130 Kamehameha Ave\, Hilo\, HI 96720.
