First Saturday – April 6th – Special Appearance by Illustrator Tammy Yee *EARLY ENTRY*

April 6 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Free

April is Tsunami Awareness Month!

On April 6th from 9am to 4pm, we’re thrilled to offer FREE admission for Kama’āina (ID required).

Tammy Yee (Children’s book author, illustrator, and origami / paper model designer) has worked on more than 40 books. She grew up in Hilo, Hawaii, where she explored tide pools, swam in streams, and wrote and illustrated spooky stories her teachers politely read. Having children rekindled her love for picture books, so in 1994 she exchanged her stethoscope for a paintbrush and she’s been writing and illustrating ever since. In 2022, she was inducted into Children’s Literature of Hawaii’s (CLH) Hall of Fame.

Tammy Yee 📘🎨 will be available for book signing and talk story from 10am – Noon. You can visit her website here

Copies of “The Tsunami Quilt” will be available for purchase in the PTM Gift Shop.

PTM’s Docent Dian will be hosting two Keiki Story Time Sessions with “The Tsunami Quilt” book and more!

Enjoy the melodies of local musician Kanoa Fong, performing live at noon.

Don’t miss out on our ‘Ohana Membership Giveaway! Enter for a chance to win a year-long family membership, offering endless opportunities for discovery and education.
