Keiki Education Day & New Exhibit Piece

All are invited to the Pacific Tsunami Museum for our Last Event for Tsunami Awareness Month.
Early Open at 9:30am with plenty of parking on the side of Kress Theater and down Bayfront.
Education Program:
- 9:45am : Signs of the Tsunami, presented by Cindi Preller. Audience Recommendation : Grade 3 and up
- 10:45am: Signs of the Tsunami, presented by Cindi Preller. Audience Recommendation : Grade 3 and up
- 1pm: Tsunami Preparedness Through Kilo, presented by Dr. Roxane Keliikipikaneokolohaka. Audience Recommendation: All Ages
- 3pm: Engine #121 New Exhibit Piece, presented by Ethan Collyer. Audience Recommendation: All Ages
Activities Include and run all day:
- Make- Take : Wave in a Bottle
- Find out if you live in a Tsunami Zone
- Earthquake Simulator
- Story Book Reading with Docent Dian (until 1pm)
- Scavenger Hunt (with snack prizes!)
Speaker Information:
Cindi Preller is the Pacific Tsunami Museum’s director and one of the Scientists on Duty.
Dr. Roxane Keliikipikaneokolohaka is a part of the Tsunami Museum’s Ohana and Board. Dr. Keliikipikaneokolohaka was born and raised in Waiakea, Hilo, Hawai’i and has been an educator in various contexts for over 20 years – including being the creator of the oil or chant for the Pacific Tsunami Museum.
Ethan Collyer is the Pacific Tsunami Museum’s Floor Manager and Archivist.
